    Mike Carnahan

Mike Carnahan emails me from his GMMG email account and tells me he is interested in my 2002 SS with 6k miles. He offers me $20k "Cash in $100 bills" but needs to know my decision in less than 3 hours. So after a couple of calls to see if he can come up a bit since $20k is $4k less than my asking price I agree to sell the car to him. He asks me for my full name to put on the "check" because "he is at the bank" right then. I give him my name. He says he will get directions to my house and come get it the next day (a Saturday). Saturday morning I go to the bank and fork over $10k plus to get the title work going to transfer to him.

RESULT: NO CALLS, NO SHOW, WON'T RETURN MY CALLS OR EMAILS.

I SPENT $10K AND ALL DAY WAITING ON HIM. DONT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I DID !!!!

Mike is a Stand Up guy that typically follows through on his deals. If you go to the Southern Section on LS1Tech, you will see nothing but good things about him. If you can't get in touch with him, try Vengeance Racing. They are a sponsor on that board. I will send him a message over there, and let him know this post his here.[/QUOTE]

Can you lend me the $10K to cover paying off the car till your "stand up guy" comes through ...???

It's not just the money, he thinks he is some kind of hot shot and I should just "accept" his BS and ignore it. Mike Carnahan told me on the phone he wanted to buy my car and just didn't follow through.

All I ask is Mike Carnahan to call my number back and tell me he sorry that I wasted my whole day and my money over his "word" !!! Is that reasonable ????

    Enjoy your dealing with MC.

Let me step in here and see if I can shed some light on this matter.... I was assisting Mike in finding a quality 01/02 Camaro for the build up we are working on. Mike made you a legitimate offer on your car which you had to "think about"... meanwhile, while you are thinking we are still looking for a quality car. Our day cant stop to let someone make a decision. We contacted another seller who accepted our offer on the spot and offered to deliver the vehicle within 24 hours. As rude as it may sound, an old saying comes to mind... "ya snooze.... ya lose....

FWIW, I was standing beside Mike while at the bank. The conversation did not go the way your story says it did. You were still "thinking about his offer"... he told you he was buying a car one way or the other. When he hung up the phone he looked directly at me and said "looks like he doesnt want to sell"..........

As for wasting your money?? Im a bit confused here. You took your cash and paid off YOUR car which is for sale??? Nobody asked you to do that. Having bought as many cars as we have in the past we understand it takes a few weeks to obtain a title if the vehicle is financed. I am sorry you went through this ordeal, but that part was strictly self inflicted.

If anyone is wondering, I chimed in here because Mike flew directly from SEMA to another convention and has not returned to the shop as of yet. ..... That could be why he hasnt answered his phone too

Bottom line, we are sorry this deal did not go through. We have the car we need for our build and we wish you the best in selling your car.

    Ron @ Vengeance
