Mods/Admins; is posting for sale threads allowed in the local area forums??

I ask because the shipping on large items (like wheels/tires) nowadays is rediculous, regardless of the shipping method/company.
I figure this is the only way to find a buyer who is local enough to not incur these CRAZY charges.
