    Feeler: 1998 Trans Am, NBM m6, 420rwhp, $12,800 Oklahoma

I think I'm making a dumb decision by selling my baby. I love these cars to death, but I'm now wanting to buy a SUV.

    1998 Pontiac Trans Am
    Navy Blue Metallic
    6 speed
    T-tops
    Grey leather
    Currently @ 107xxx miles
    Location: Stillwater, OK (74074)

    Old Asking price: $12,800 OBO
    New Asking price: $12,000 OBO

I estimated price by using the classifieds sticky advice
(blue book + classifieds avg. asking price for used mods - repairs/flaws = asking price)

    Exterior:
U.S. Exotics WS9 hood, with charcoal blackbird stripes.
American Racing TTM anthracite wheels, 17x9 & 17x10.5
Nitto 255 Extreme & 315 Nitto Drag Radial tires
    Corsa clones exhaust tips
    Windows professionally tinted 5%
    Aftermarket projection fog lights

    Interior:
    Hurst black shift knob
    Short stick

    Performance:
Comp custom grind cam & Comp valvesprings & retainers
    LS6 ported & polished heads
    LS6 intake
    LS6 ported throttle body
    Lid
    Hooker long tube headers
    TSP catted y pipe
    GMMG catback exhaust
    Textralia OZ700 clutch & flywheel

    Suspension:
Unknown brand aftermarket shocks (white colored)

    Drivetrain:
Rebuilt t-56 (last previous owner had it done, $2500 job)
    B&M Ripper shifter
    Skip shift elim
3.42 geared 10 bolt ran with synthetic gear oil

    Electronics:
    Jensen single disc headunit
Custom painted NBM sub box & amp box (no amps or subs)

    Last years history:
I bought this car last year and the previous owner said it dyno'd just under 420rwhp. He said he never ran it at the track & thus I haven't either. My guess is with slicks it could run high 11's. The only non-appearance mods I have changed since it was... a different 10-bolt rearend with same 3:42 gear ratio & changed the axles, the Centerforce clutch went out so we installed a Textralia OZ700 & flywheel, also put in a new slave & master cylinder (we didn't do the drill mod), and changed the 2.5" ORY & SLP loudmouth exhaust to the 3" catted & GMMG catback. So I believe this car should put a little over 400rwhp on a dyno still. I've only put about 6000 miles on it since last year. The wheels & tires are nearly brand new and have about 2000 miles on them. The hood I had bought & put on about 3 months ago. The exhaust system was installed last week. And the tint was done a month ago.

    The bad:
Things I'm fixing myself: (unless the potential buyer wants to do it themselves):
*getting a new driver side ttop (previous owners scratched the glass)
*getting a clip for the back passenger side for the bumper, and...
*fixing up a dull-buffed paint spot on the back driver side fender.

The only problems the buyer will experience with the car is:
*A couple of "paint bubbles" on the sail panels (which I've heard is very common on many f-bodies), and...
*A non-metallish ring & pinion sound from the rearend... which you can just slightly hear inside the car between 35mph & 65 mph when there is nothing in the hatch (interior panels, speaker covers, carpet, ttop holders, sub box, etc). I have not been hard on the car since we installed the new 10 bolt & I recently opened the 10 bolt cover to check it out, and everything looked good.

There is also a few more pictures on my Fquick page (link in signature) but none of the recent ones taken are in color.

    pictures below added 06/19/2007:
my lesson was learned... do NOT use throwaway cameras for digital use!!

^one of the clips for the bumper is missing, will be fixed soon

sorry, no interior pictures available @ this time
