2000 Firehawk - Dark Blue - 70k mi - 6
contact: jim.esposito@ieee.org
asking price: $14k
area: central NJ (Hamilton)
title: clean
Have to sell my beloved 'hawk. Need to downgrade to just one car and have it be a Jeep so I have cargo space and towing capacity. Car has run great for me. Only major repair job was the clutch a couple years ago.
- 2000 Firehawk TA
- Dark blue
- Dark grey leather
- 70k miles
- 6-Speed
- Clutch & both master & slave cylinders replaced late 2006 (Centerforce)
Options (listing what I know, forgive me if they're standard 'hawk options, been a while):
- T-Tops (with inserts)
- Power Locks
- Power Windows
- Power Driver's Seat
- Power seat support adjustments (both seats, 2 per seat)
- Hurst shifter
- 17" chrome Firehawk rims
- Monsoon cd player/system
Extras:
- Improved air box lid installed
- Skip-shift installed
- Has exhaust cutout (Y-pipe that goes from cats to either muffler or open, cap held by 3 wingnuts)
- Line lock installed. I've only used once to test it out after buying (works fine), previous owner installed.
- Firehawk Car Cover
- Original floormats (w/ Logo) come with car (has fitted replacement mats on for daily use
- iPod interface (can control w/ radio/steering wheel and through iPod, does not lock out iPod (a good thing!))
- Have a 12-disc changer that I never installed, will go w/ car (upgraded to iPod)
- Changed pink-colored accents in Firehawk logos to red (exterior, one on each door, one on rear bumper)
Current Issues (will update as they are fixed):
- Power antenna not lowering reliably, motor still works, but doesn't catch 100%
- Next time brake pads need to be changed, will need at least turned rotors, possibly new ones.
- Exhaust cutout portion that normally goes to the muffler broke (having the cutout open must've let condensation get at the joint inside the pipe, lasted 5+ years though). Need to have it patched.
- Passenger side window slow (works, just slower) Have already changed the drivers side and have the replacement motor for the passenger side. Will either fix or throw in with car.
- Has small ding on passenger side from a parking lot
- Slight wear-and-tear on driver's leather seat. Not torn yet, headed there obviously
- Rear bumper was hit at 5mph, Pencil-sized paint chip (this is the only "frustrating" thing wrong w/ the car, everything else I consider normal wear-and-tear for an 8 year old car.)
Paint Work:
The front bumper and hood have had work under me. I bumped someone in a traffic line a few months ago. Reciepts available. I was/am very happy with the painting done.

Will update this as I make changes to the repair list or find more receipts. Questions more than welcome! Please email jim.esposito@ieee.org direct if you can!
