well 10 days ago, my buddies kid didnt know what kind of car he wanted! So now iam looking for a camaro for him!

Yup, I bought it Sunday Night. I flew out that day, we did the deal in an airport parking lot, and I headed off back to New England that night. Other than just plain bad luck in OH, where road debris took out both right side tires, causing me to have to grab a hotel, and buy two new Goodyear F1's monday morning (a little kick in the wallet I wasn't planning on, but hey, now it's got two new rear tires) I had the shop throw in some fresh synthetic oil and filter for the drive. Then the Z made the rest of the 13 hour trip back, like a champ, mostly between 80-90 mph.

It runs very strong, the Borla exhaust sounds great, Ive always had Flowmaster systems on all my vehicles, but I'm a borla fan now. I'm just glad it came with it, as I'd never pay that much more for an exhaust, over a flowmaster.

The big sticking point before I decided to finally take it, was the Auto Trans. I've always had manual sports/muscle cars, but I was actually very suprised how well it shifted under hard acceleration, with little apparent loss in speed. I figured I'm 40 now, it's time to grow up a little and I can let the car shift for me, and it now doubt much easier to drive in traffice. I have a '02 ZX-12R that will be happy to keep scrtching my gear-shifting itch.

I will definitely pick up a programmer though, to see the difference that makes in shifts (and power obviously) Anyone with a little insight into how programmer adjusted Auto trans' ,feel free to let me know what to expect. I also am going to upgrade the brakes with a crossdrilled set. And I am going to free up the air flow, with a volant intake, a Larger MAF and TB, but I'm already very pleased with the power, compared to a lightly modded 96 M6 Z28 I owned a few years ago, it it much faster as it is. The mods I plan should make it even better.

I look forward to being a regular around here, as I was a regular poster on camaroz28.com back when I had the 96 and I enjoyed it.
