1999 Camaro SS M6 D1 Procharged (Michigan)
I don't know why I'm doing this honestly. Unless someone makes me a decent offer, I doubt this will sell. But, due to economic times here in the lovely state of Michigan, I feel it's in my best interest to see where it goes. I've had the car for a while with intentions of fixing the stuff that the previous owner did....along with his list of things he was going to fix. Before I get into that, we'll go over all the mods I can list off the top of my head...
Powertrain Mods:
D1SC 8-rib supercharger pushing ~7psi peak
Custom charge piping and front mount intercooler setup
Custom tune by yours truly - went 11.5@122 at 3850lbs last year
LS6 intake
Dual valve springs
Hardened pushrods
1 7/8 Kooks
Custom ypipe with 2x3" inlet to 1x3.5" outlet flowmaster merge collector
Mufflex 3.5" catback with cutout before axle
Custom fuel setup w/ twin pumps in-tank
Vac ref'd fuel pressure regulator
60lb injectors
NGK TR6 plugs
Ported TB
!AIR / !EGR / !PCV (vented breather filters installed on both sides)
Remining parts of the engine are stock
Drivetrain:
Twin disc clutch (drives like stock and grips like hell)
New hydraulics with adj master
T56 gone through by D&D - upgraded blocker rings, 3-4 shift fork, etc.
Moser/DTS 12-bolt 3.73s w/ drive shaft (makes some noise on decel)
18x10.5 Z06 chrome motorsports
Like-new tires (BFG KDW2's up front, Nitto DR's out back added end of last year)
Suspension:
SLP spring/shock combo (IIRC)
LCA's with relocation brackets
SFC's
Sway Bars
track pack torque arm (IIRC)
Interior:
Cage
Seats
4-point belts
boost, fuel pressure, and tach guages
head unit, amp, sat radio ready, speakers (have paper work for stereo equip somewhere)
!back seats & !all OEM seat belts
Known mechanical issues:
Knock sensor system needs replaced - wires, sensors, gaskets (knock sensors turned off in tune right now)
A/C line has a puncture somewhere (replace line, charge and go)
Rear end is making noise - needs to be looked at
Known cosmetic issues:
The previous owner was backed into in a parking lot by some idiot in a minivan. Bumper cover / passenger fender cracked & needs replaced. You can see the crack in my 2nd post - the first exterior shot - just behind the headlight. Have new fender/cover that needs paint and install.
Clear corner passenger side front leaks. Have OEM yellow corners to go back in with new bumper cover.
Rear passenger 1/4 panel has scratch/dent from same parking lot incident. Not noticeable right away. Can't even see it in pics below. Straighten and paint with other parts & your good to go.
How I got here...
I bought the car with quite a longer list of issues to address (clutch slipping, running out of fuel pressure @ 5500rpm, etc.). I had CARS do pretty much all of the work. They added the fuel system, clutch, hydraulics, custom intercooler/piping, injectors, full exhaust, drag radials, 3.73's in the 12-bolt, pushrods, and valve springs. The previous owner was still running the stock valve train and had a piston kiss a valve on the passenger head. This was discovered with a compression test. Head was removed, valve replaced, and put back together with the better springs. Fixing that and adding better headers netted 2mph and 2tenths in the 1/4. All in all, I've invested well over $5k in parts alone to get this car into much better mechanical shape. Aside from the rear end making a little noise and the knock sensors being turned off, it runs like a top. Raced an '08 GXSR 600 earlier this year with an experienced rider....and he couldn't get in front of the car. Car doesn't see snow and has only seen rain only a handful of times. Odometer is around 52K or 54K. Lots of OEM parts in the garage too if you want 'em, plus a set of slicks the previous owner gave me (28x16x10.5 w/ tubes on stock Z28 rims).
Car sits in 48823 zip code. Looking for $22K OBO.
Please ignore the commentary - we were just having some fun.
The car can be seen at the 1:00 mark here (before the mods I listed above were done)
1st pass - bogged out of the hole which killed the 60' and the run
2nd pass - made sure I didn't bog and spun the hell out of the slicks
Some pics of the FMIC/piping and under side of the car:

Black- 2001 Camaro Z28 A4
What kind of grill is on the car?

It's a billet grill insert, powdercoated black. Looks kinda like this, but black:
2 holes were cut in the bumper cover to allow airflow to the front mount intercooler. The new bumper cover that I have sitting in the garage has yet to be cut or painted. Again, I have a new front bumper cover and new front passenger fender to go with the car. They just need paint and install. As you can see in the last pic, a fresh powdercoating on the grill wouldn't hurt either. OR, you could rattle can it....but, I'm too anal to do something half-assed.Last edited by SSpdDmon; 04-29-2009 at 11:31 AM.

Thanks for the compliments.
I don't know for sure - the previous owner put them in. This is the closest I can find with what Momo sells today.

Exhaust is Kooks 1 7/8 headers into a custom Y into a 3.5" Mufflex catback system with a cutout. Sounds great with out the cutout open and even better with.
