    What is the difference?

Between these 2 manifolds besides the obvious color?

    LT1 verses LT4.

The LT4 (red intake) has a taller intake runner to mate with the LT4 heads.

The one I have in my car is stock but looks the same as the red one but is not red.
I recently bought an lt1 shortblock to build a 383 stroker, its a 97 block, but im not sure what year or what the intake is, but if you look at the top its more flat and those lines go straight all the way through vs. the red one a few dont go all the way through.
If you know what I am saying.

In the picture if you look very close at the red one you will notice there is a recessed area for a stock fuel rail near the front just behind where the T/B would bolt on for the fuel rail crossover but the Natural colered one dose not have that recess. As for if the red one is a stock LT4 or just a painted LT1 there is no way to know without messuring the ports. The one on the left after market or may be a stock unit from and early (93 or so) Vette, a 93 camaro, MiniLT1 or Impalla. I don't know for sure but I do know 96 and 97 F- bodies had the recess for the fuel crossover.

Yes my stock one is an lt1 for sure and has the recess.
I am guessing it must be an old intake manifold if it doesnt have the recess, and yes the fuel rails on that one is going the other way then the one in my motor.

Yup the natural finish one is a reg early Lt1 peice, 92-93, no fuel rail crossover, , the LT4 stuff is really a waste of money , you can better spend you hard earned cash on some porting of the stock heads from LE performance and a custom cam from him as well.

Can a 93 Intake manifold fit and work on a 97 block?

TTT, would an 93 Intake manifold work with others?
Do I need to get 93 heads?
