Wet Shot safe on stock LT1

I just got a NX wet shot kit it has the adjustable nozzle im thinking running 150 shot or is that to much? any suggestions? also is it completely nesscary to have a bottle heater and nitrous gauge. even though i am getting the gauge not sure about the heater though?

It will eventually launch the motor, just a matter of when. If the car is your sole source of transport, I wouldnt put a 150 shot on it, in fact I'd think twice before putting nitrous on it at all. A 100 shot is usually safe, but they've been known to blow up on less, or last a long time. Sometimes a crapshoot.

Ditto on what 5.0 said... As for gauge and heater it is nice to have since you will always see what bottle pressure is and to maintain that pressure so you can get the most out of a bottle. Around 950-1100 psi is what you want the bottle at.

I bought my 1993 Z28 M6 with 166,000 and sprayed it 150 wet shot all the way to 218,000 and had no issues at all. It was the most reliable car ive ever owned, make sure you change out the plugs TR6's are always a good choice there are other brands that are just as good. On my 93 i just adjusted for the extra fuel through a Adjustable fuel pressure regulator and got a tune, 7 Degrees pulled. Without a doubt i would highly recommend a bottle heater and a guage to see what PSI your at.

100 shot, and maybe get about 2 or 3 degrees pulled just to be safe

you can run it without pulling timing, but you better be confident with the gas in your tank. I would reccomend only BP premiuim when using pump gas/nitrous

All I use is BP 92 and I have 100 shot on my LS1 with
    every bolt on.

well i usually use shell 93 or BP 93 once in a blue moon through a little sunoco 93 in it. i think im gonna go with a 100 shot possibly bump the timing a couple degrees and go from there.

whats your intake/exhaust set up like?....that can influence how much it can handle.

regardless i think 150 is high without some considerable engine work, especially on a DD...I wouldnt go over 100

yeah, stepped headers, and a 3" exhaust would be good.

as far as intake, I would do k&n intake, with the stock maf, and you should buy one of those aluminum intake elbows. your nozzle can thread right into the bottom of that
