    Timing cover gasket going bad

So my car has been slowly leaking oil, about the size of a quarter on short drives and the size of a baseball on longer drives. I got told today that it would cost 500 dollars to have the gasket replaced by the shop ive been talking to that normally does all the work on my car. I was curious as to how long it would take me to do it myself and what is involved. I know the difficulty level is very high but im still very curious and interested.

    Might still attempt it.

Is it the whole cover or just the crank seal?
