Short OR Long headers
every one on this site has told me to go with long headers, but when i went to the local speed shop the dude told me that the Trans AM and Mustang are made to have short headers. Keep in mind this will be my frist mod so i wanna make the exhust improve my low end not my top.

do long tube, more gains, but you really should do the rest of the exhaust also.

go long tube..u will see good gains..my 3rd pulls soo much harder..i know on mustang long tubes are a bitch to put on cuz of the tranny..i dunno bout lt1s but maybe thats why the shop wants u to go short and plus the fact that most speed shop people are renards...

id go mid tubes if u want to keep ur low end power.
long tubes are a bitch to put on any car thats why the shop said do shorties.
and f-bodys are harder than average.
but definetly do full exhaust
gut the cat and put any aftermarket muffler on it, it souuldnt cost to much more
but dont take ur car back to that shop... they dont know what the fuck their talking about

2002 Z28 A4 NBM- Sadly now demodded :(
Your main concern should be whether or not you have to pass a visual smog inspection. If yes then you're limited. If no then the sky's the limit. Your car is OBDII. Some states just plug in to the ALDL and if you don't throw a code you're good to go. Some areas have no smog check at all. Some (like Cali) are Nazi's about it.

i forget about all thet bull shit
ky doesnt have smog checks
but u can usually find most any header that will still pass smog... even long tubes
