    Rocker Arms

I have a stock LT-1 with with a few bolt ons. I was wanting to change my rocker arms to either 1.6 or 1.7's if I could. What would I have to do to change to 1.7's? I know how to do 1.6s but can 1.7s be put in with no problems like would I have enough clearance with the valve covers.

Not totally sure but I'm going with the need for either spacers on your valve covers or you'd have to get the tall valve covers....I have 1.6's on my LT1 and they are fine with the stock valve covers.....

If you're keeping the stock cam, then the most you MIGHT have to do is trim the baffles on the inside of the valve covers. Spacers are not necessary.

Oh yeah......change the valve springs while you're at it.

Finally, you're going to find that your selection of 1.7 rockers is extremely limited.....and those that are out there will likely require 7/16" rocker studs and guideplates.

I don't think lt1's can fit 1.7rr's . i know 1.65's but 1.7? I wish I could find some. I would have some fun with that. more lift is always nice.

The ONLY 1.7 rockers I know of that are NOT shaft-mounted (and were installed on a LT1/4)......were the Scorpions !
