    Pulleys...

Hellow.. im about to change by opti spark unit... and i heard that i need to removed the balancer to intall the new unit.. so here is my question.. its the balancer the same as the underdrive pulley set that they sell on summit or a balancer is different from the actuall crank pulley?? and is it really worth it?? or is it a waist of money... im thinking about this underdrive pulley set since i rebuilt my engine the balancer seems to be shakey.. i dont know if its just that they didnt assemble it correct or what... but im thinking that if im going to have to remove and intall i might as well do some upgrading... any ideas???

underdrive pulleys really wont get you that much. However, if your stock balancer is coming apart then something needs to be done about that...

The underdrive pulley does not replace the balancer, it just bolts on to it.
It will make the steering slightly heavier at parking lot speeds, but still useable. It will only add a few hp, but consider the cost per horsepower.
    $100/4hp = $25/hp.
Is it worth it? You'll have to decide.
