Overheating Lt1
My 93z is haveing an overheating problem. Its not the fan, i put an slp fan switch on it as well as a thermostat. I dont belive it has a cracked head or a blown gasket because it's not missing. I have looked all over for leaks and cant find one so i don't know what to do now. All i can think of is air in the system. i was hopeing someone could tell me where the relase valves are because i can only find 1. Or perhaps someone could tell me what else it could be.

Pump is a bitch and that could be it but yet LT1 cars are the hardest I have ever come across to bleed of air. If you don't have the money jack up the front of the car and take the cap off and open the bleeder and try filling it.
Your best bet is to have a pressure bleed done on it.
are you sure the fans are running when it gets hot?

i cant imagine it being a bad pump i replaced the pump a few months back. The fans are running because i put the fan switch in and turn the fans on as soon as ai start the car. I found 2 of the three bleeders. the one on the thermo houseing and the one in front of the alternator. I cant find the one that is suppose to be under the trottle body. Idk what to do at this point. the only problems the car has ever had was a blown hose a bad water pump and another blown hose. i cant put any preformance parts on my car because as soon as i try something like this happens. but this time i cant find the issue.

Pressure bleed the coolant system.
It takes me around 30minutes to bleed my system without a pressure bleeder.
I jack the car up because the radiator is needs to be above the engine in order to bleed it properly. if you do it with the car on the ground you will never get it to bleed.

Read through Shoebox's LT1 overheating guide, maybe you can find the answer there: http://shbox.com/1/4th_gen_tech2.html#cooling Hopefully it's something easy like a bad radiator cap not holding pressure.
