opti power feed question

I have just installed a 93 lt1 into a 96 s-10. I did what shoebox said was the bare minimum to get it running. Tried it and it didnt work, so after looking found i wasnt getting 12 volts to the red wire on the opti harness. So i just ran 12volts to it temporairly and it fired right up.

Now my question is what would be causing a no power issue? i read form the diagrams that the pcm sends power to the opti, so is there maybe another wire or something i should have hooked up that he didnt list? Already checked the opti harness its good. thanks guys. Its prob something i did wrong so dont be afraid to mention the obvious, lol

Could also be a problem with the harness you used. Or perhaps that pin is damaged inside the pcm that is power for the opti.
