Oil too thick??
I live in Az and to help with a little oil leak and a slight rocker rattle, I bought castrol High Mileage 20w50 oil. I normally use Mobil 1 5w30 but heard in this hot climate I can use thicker oil and will be ok. Any thoughts or recommedations please? Thanks.

If you've been running synthetic, stay with synthetic. Why would you want to be using a thicker oil anyway? As long as your oil pressure is ok, then use the lightest oil you can. If your oil pressure is so low that you need to start using a thicker oil, then you need to be thinking about a rebuild anyway.

10-W40 at the highest but there isnt any reason to change unless you have hella miles on your car.

Car just turned over 103k. It doesnt smoke or burn a drop of oil though. Its a slight leak I havent been able to track down and fix due to have only one car. I went with Castrol High Mileage 10w40.
