New Interest in Nitrous
Hi guys, I have a new found intrest in nitrous. My friend has a 93 pontiac with the exact same motor as mine every mood we ever did we did together and he ended up getting a nitrous express direct port system. He blew his motor to pieces, but it was fast!!!! for 2 runs. I want a safe nitrous system. My car is a stock bottom ended 93Z with almost 130.000 miles on it. I really like the sound of the zex dry kit. any suggestions?

My 2 cents would be save the money for a rebuild and build it to run NOS. There are a lot of guys on here that run NOS so I will leave it to them to answer this further. You might want to post this in the NOS section so guys that run it can see it.

You could spend 3k and build an engine that runs as much power N/A as a stock NOS car. If you spend about 1500 or so more you could build that same powerful engine and run NOS, so it is kind of a toss up. NOS is cheap to install but cost more in the long run if you don't spend the money to build and engine to handel it.

I'm after about 425 to 450 on motor. I wanted to use a forged 355 bottom end somewhere down the road with a 150 shot of spray. Near 600 in all being the goal. There are people around here that run 75 to 100 shots around here on stock bottom ends with almost as many miles as mine so i thought a small shot would be ok until I got the money to do all of this. Any suggestions to the type of bottom end kit i should use? Or wether i need a full forged kit for my goal or if it would be over kill. The full forged kits online say good to 1000 horse power and that being nearly twice my goal i thought i could get away with less. thanks for all the help and anymore that may be on the way.
