Red+Black- 1993 Camaro Z28
Need an 11 second 302 killing Lt1.
HI i'm a new member but am not new to this web site. I have a 1993 z28 that is pretty close to stock. It has a custom cold air that i got at a bargin, and a stage 2 jet chip, also a bargin. I was wondering which mods i should look to do first. I'm not looking to drag race just have a really fast street car. I had the following in mind Hooker super comp headers, slp louldmouth exhaust, le1 head and cam package from lloyd elliott ,226/230 .565/.565 cam, holly 58mm throttle body, ported intake, 3:90 ring gear pinion set, bbk hammer ratchet shiffter with shift kit, march under drive pully system , and a 125 shot of dry zex. I'm looking for a low 11 second car. Are these good mods to get me close or should i look into other things? Any help accepted.
I Bought A Chevy Instead of An Import Because I Wanted To Go Fast.

Sounds like a good setup but all that power is not going to help if you can't get it to the ground. Add some suspension mods and you would be fine.
You would atleast get sub frame connectors, lower control arms with the rerlocation braket, and an adjustible panhad bar. If you want get a torque arm as well. The more the better oh yea and get some good set of tires.

yea ive seen people do well with nitto street radials. im thinking those or sticky mickys. should i stay the same wheel size though? i found some nice black 18"s on ebay with 7.5s front and 9.5s in back but idk if i wana go that big. you think i could hit 11 if i can get some traction mods?

Oh yea if you get traction with those mods low 11s are very possible. Nittos are pretty good street tires just heat them up before use.
Those sizes are just fine

o, and btw i have alot of respect for you. ive read several of your posts and you are never cynical and are always helpfull. if your ever up this way send me a pm. my whole town is full of stock ricers and 302s (one very powerful). its easy to make cash of slow cars and bad drivers. won 500 last week off a 350z.

anything stickier than a radial for our 10 bolts you can add another $2500 easier for a new rearend. Do you have a m6 or a4?

No I dont think the 93 had the 4L60E, I belive they only have the 700R4 or whatever its called. Pretty much the same thing as the 4L60 but its done by wire and not electric.

Naw it was just a quick road trip with my friend. He has family in knoxville so I stayed with them for a few days, then went to gaitlinburg and stayed at a hotel. But we went up the mountains saw some bears swam in the rivers, took some rocks and found out later I wasn't suppose to, over all had a lot of fun.
