what is the most power i can expect out of my 96 lt1 bottom end before she blows

A pretty good bit. Its an ironblock. Dont quote me but I think it can handle up to 900hp on stock internals.

WTF?!?! 900hp?

Stock internals have let go below 400rwhp on an LT1, and in fact do so fairly often with at those power levels with boost or nitrous. It is usually the pistons that let go.

My 97 lt1 with lt4 convertion and a hot cam held up for 668 drag strip passes and burnouts. It was shifting auto @ 6250 rpm and now has 104000 miles on it. It runs great and dosnt use any oil. It was making about 405 FWHP.

I've got one that I've stroked to a 383 and put it in a Fiero....I'm getting 450 hp out of the motor....no problems so far....
