    Lt1 Hot Cam Question?

ok well i have a 96 trans am with lt1, and its pretty much all stock besides , pacesetter longtubes,no cats/ deleted egr/air, k&n cai, and i have a guy that is sellling his Lt1 Hot Cam. I was curious if it would work in my car being its all stock engine besides the bolt on's that i have! would i have to change anything out or would that cam just slide right in and work perfectly? also how hard is it to change the cam out on it, like what do i have to do?
    thanks for the info

me and my brother did the LT4 hot cam in his impala... you'll want to remove the radiator... you'll need a pulley puller... you'll also need valve springs for the new cam so you might as well throw in some roller rockers...

This isnt a job for an amateur. You need several things. You'll want new valve springs, new valve seals, new retainers and locks, roller rockers, new pushrods (recommended), new timing chain (recommended), and all the appropriate gaskets. Then when it is all installed and the valves have been adjusted, you'll need a new PCM tune to take advantage of the cam.

And be careful when taking the stock cam out and putting the new one in, not to hit any of the cam bearings or smashing the cam lobes.
