Intake air control valve question
Does anyone know of a way of checking the iac valve without a scanner? iac sensor is good. with it removed I know your not supposed to but if you push or pull on it should it move? Car is idling high untill i cover the iac port then its fine. Also if i remove it and reinstall it does that require a reset? And i keep reading about adjusting the lenght how do you do that? And with it out of the tb if i turn on the power should it move?
Thanks in advance.

have you ruled out vacuum leaks? That's where I would start first. Check the pcv hoses and any other vacuum hoses.

obd1 if you just unhook its plug and it idles the same than yea its probably shot. I'd check your wires for breaks or chews.
