White- 1989 Camaro IROC
I got a 1989 Camaro Iroc
This winter i want to pull the motor and rebuild due to the KM's its got 218,000 km I am wondering what cams, heads, intakes to look in to. Its going to be used for 1/4 Mile but also some daily driving like maby once a week. not much town or city driving. Also what tuner do you guys recomend.
Thanks,
David

That's a pretty broad question. You have the TPI motor, not the LT1 motor btw. Do you want a forced induction motor? NA? Nitrous, etc... What are your goals for the car (powerwise, driveability, emissions, etc.)?
Some generic information I can give to you though.... you'll want to ditch the stock TPI heads and intake setup. There are numerous aftermarket runner and plenum setups that will be much better than stock. As for heads... if you want cheap and good performing heads, the vortec heads will bolt right on, and now places make manifold bases that work with the vortec ports. The vortec heads are cheap, plentiful, and can be ported to flow very well (they flow great stock).

I have thought about that, If i decided to keep it i was going to throw a cam in it and a set of heads and intake.

I'm running 12.2s with my stroked '87 TPI car. I have installed tons of stuff, but mainly of interest to you is the Accel SuperRam intake.
