hot cam vs 306 comp cam
power dif? wont any sbc roller rocker work on lt1

The 306 is a bigger cam. It might yield ~10 more hp, somewhere in that range. You need a self aligning rocker arm for an LT1, or you can use a standard SBC roller rocker arm, but you must also use guideplates.

I would buy the summit brand rockers.
they are actually made by scorpion. the same company that makes those nice blue ones for LS1.
the hot cam is pretty mild, but the biggest you should go on stock heads is the comp 224/230

You would not benefit a 306 to its full potential on stock heads.
The hot cam would still be ok.

i saw video of stock lt1 making 350 rwhp with 306 cam. i put long tube headers on it so far

alittle red and blue- 2010 Ford Interceptor
The 230/236 is a good stock head cam if you want to just grab a shelf cam.
