Help with roller rockers please
Hi guys/girls I have a 95 Lt1 with stock cam and am looking for some roller rockers should I go with the 1.6 or 1.7 and which ones I 've been told they are just bolt ins and easy and do I need taller valve covers if so where can I get some I haven't been able to find any tall ones for LT1's thank you for all the help in the past and future

83 Z28 new project- 98 Formula WS7-sold:(
I just finished doing some 1.6 comps with canton valve covers when I did the heads/cam. Summit has all the stuff. One thing though, I was not impressed with the canton covers. I had the make a major dent in the cover and grind away at the alternator some to allow for clearance for the alternator. Other than that, they look really good in the car.The rockers are easy to do, just make sure the lash is set correctly.

I would go with the 1.6 rockers. You are going to gain about .030 of lift and the added power of reduced friction.
If you go with the 1.6 roller tips you can keep your stock valve covers. We also glue and stack valve cover gaskets to gain clearance without everyone noticing..........Don't be afraid of the bottle!!! Be afraid of your tune!!!

The 1.7's should be ok then, but I would stick with the 1.6's though.

Yeah I would just be scared of the POS stock springs.
How many miles are on the LT1 anyways?

stock ratio is 1.5. the LT4 motor had 1.6 full roller rockers from the factory with stock covers. also a good set of valve springs are in order to handle the added lift.
Cold Air Intake, Muffler Delete, Vinci High Performance Dual Valve Springs, Hardened Pushrods, Yella Terra 1.85 Rockers, Some Hydropdipped Stuff, Strut Tower Brace, Some SS Badges, boost/vacuum gauge, fuel pressure gauge, some checkered stripes, drilled/slotted rotors, ZL1addons Stealth wickerbill, Ruxifey LED side markers
