Hardware Verification
Ok, long story...but I need to verify how many bolts/studs there are that secure the intake manifold on. (94 Z28) I looked that the manifold I just received, and it looks like there are 12, 6 on each side. The reason I ask is because I went to the dealership today to order all the hardware I need to put my car back together. And their diagrams and stuff only showed a total of 6 bolts/studs for the manifold. The guy said that GM sometimes uses 'generic stock' hardware and they don't list those in the diagrams. So, I just need some verification so I can call them and tell them to add 6 more 'generic' bolts to my order, so I can install it when it all gets here.
And here's the reason why I don't know such a dumb and simple answer.
Over the winter, my car was broken into, twice, and the top half of my engine was stolen, minus the heads. So, I'm on a quest to put it back together. But since I didn't tear it down, its a little guessing game sometimes to but it back together. So I just need verification on some little things.

Autozone has an online repair manual.
I wouldn't trust their torque specs without verification. But the diagrams are nice.
As I recall, the bolts were all the same length. Just some of them have stud mounts for accesories (such as the egr solenoid). Not all of which actually had anything bolted to it on my car.
Good luck with the restoration. I've lost stereos and speakers to thieves. But stealing the upper half of a mans engine is just plain wrong
