    fuel pressure

    what is the average pressure for a stock motor with just about every bolt on there is except heads and a cam for getting the most horsepower out of my motor. i heard if u lean it out a little bit u can gain some horsepower.

    uhh... you dont need to be messing with the fuel pressure to try to tune your car. That would be a huge no-no. Any tuning you do will be through the PCM. In there you can adjust all of your fuel and spark tables. I would recommend leaving PCM tuning to a pro, who has tuned late model cars (specifically F bodies) before.

    Like stated by 5.0this, its typically not a good idea to use the fuel pressure to lean the car out. However. Your fuel pressure should be around 32-36lbs at idle. 36 being more average. I have seen a few cases were dropping it down to 35 psi has netted a few more ponies. I dont recommend it.

    Actually, base pressure on his car should be 43.5 psi, give or take

    Actually! The pressure would be 42-43.5 at WOT. But 36 ish at Idle.

    vacuum line off= 43.5 psi, and the way most people check it.

    Vaccum off simulates WOT. We are on the same page there. With the vaccum on it should drop 6-7 psi.
