So, are these numbers suppose to be before the tune or after? And what do we win if we're the closest?

without the dyno tune. and 5.0 this must be seriously retarded about the hypertech. ive never heard of something so ignorant. if you think you lose rwhp with a HPP you are an idiot.

Actually, performance-wise, hypertech sucks. They even advertise on their website that its only good for tuning for the 2 basic bolt-ons, cold air intake and a catback. Beyond that, it doesn't have the proper tuning capabilities. Never actually had one, but I heard it is good for shift points (autos), shift firmness, correcting for gearing ratios, tire sizes, fan termps, codes, and some of diagnostic things. But as far as increasing performance, hypertech is pretty much useless.

besides being proven on the dyno for an avergage of 4.7 rwhp 6.8 ftlbs torque
and being able to bring my car up to 6500 rpms, yeah other than that i guess its utterly useless.

Seriously retarded is either A- calling a moderator names, hoping he doesnt ban you, or B- spending over 300$ on a pile of shit, when you could have spent it on a custom dyno tune. I've seen several cars dynoed that LOSE power with the hypertech, or see only a 1-2hp gain. If 1-2rwhp is worth that 300+$ to you, then I've got some beachfront property in Nevada to sell you.

Oh and please tell me that you're kidding, revving your car to 6500rpm. And you're calling me an idiot?!?! Put your car on a dyno. I gaurantee that your peak horsepower is 5500rpm or lower. You're actually slowing yourself down revving the car that high, as the power is falling off drastically at that rpm. You dont need to go any higher than 6000rpm. Also, your valvetrain was never meant to spin that fast. It should fail sometime shortly with that kind of continued abuse.

i said it allows me to bring my car up to 6500 i have the redline set at 6000. im just saying that it does have some capabilities. typically at the track i shift at 5900 because i dont have a shift light. according to the dyno charts ive seen most lt cars peak at 5600 to 5800. so i do agree with you on that.
i bought the tuner for 150 used and that is what i will sell it for. i know that the custom dyno tune that i will get is gonna caiter to my car much better than the hpp.
i have drove my car with and with out the tune and it seems to drive much better and stronger with it, so i wont agree with calling it a piece of shit.

Bolt ons wont change where your peak power is by much on an otherwise stock motor. With bolt ons, your peak horsepower will not be above 5500 rpm... sorry. More like 5300-5500rpm.

at the track it is better for your time to shift at a high rpm to stay in your power band.

Yeah I know. that still puts shifts below 6000rpm
