differences?
hey guys, ihave a 94 z. iwant to build the motor that is in the car.it has 200k on it. i have a 94 ironhead lt1 out of a caddy w/ 90k. i am going to put it in while im doing mine. i know the heads flow better but they have 15 less hp. dont know about torque but will it be any slower than it is now or did these motors have more tq because of their size? its not going to stay but am considering doing it so i can still bang some gears while i do mine. any info is greatly appriciated!

The iron heads dont flow a great deal more. In fact it's minimal. Not enough to make up for the fact that they weigh probably 50 pounds more in total than your current aluminum heads. There were other minor differences in the motors to account for the differing power numbers, but it will likely feel similar to your current motor.

heads
from the camaro motor to the caddy motor.
