    cooling fan problem!!!!!!

Problem= cooling fans turn on shortly after starting engine regardless of hot or cold and do not turn off till engine is shut off

What I've done so far= I have replaced the thermostat, the coolant temp sensor on the waterpump, and all the relays for the cooling fans with no luck

My temp guage inside the car works fine and my "low coolant" light does not come on

I don't understand why a temp sensor in the a/c(i have not changed) could possibly cause the fans to run all the time,

PLEASE HELP WITH SUGGESTIONS TO FIX PROBLEM!!

get your chiltons out and start checking wires. Do some testing with a meter and find out where the ground is (looking for a difference in resistance IIRC)

have you taken out the relays to see if the fans still come on? the relays work off of a ground. when the temp gets to a set temp, the computer grounds the relays turning the fans on. you have to trace the ground of the relay back to the computer to see it it is cut somewhere. then work on the other wires. electrical gremlins are easy to fix once you track the problem, which is the hard part.

Don't know what you mean by "temp sensor in the a/c." Have you checked for codes/SES on? A lot of codes will command the fans on, depending on what it is.

did you replace the switch that is in the driver side of the block??? I believe that is the one that tells teh fans to come on.
