    carbed lt-1

    new guy here so be gentle...lol i got a carbed 72 blazer, i just picked up a lt-1 comlplete (motor wise) would it be worth it to convert it over to carb?? i don`t want to cut up my truck..btw..

    It can be done, you just need the appropriate intake manifold and some other things.

    what do i do about routing the water pump and the dist??

    You actually can run a standard style HEI on an LT1, you just need an intake with the hole, and if I remember correctly the LT1 cam does have the drive gear (havent looked at one in awhile).

    i thought i could use the rear dist, so do i just leave the front dist there and use the rear one?? i also got to figure out the power steering setup, its not looking like it will be worth it..

    I think the water pump runs off the front distributer, not sure. If your blazer had power steering you should be able to use the pump. If not a steering box from a ps equiped truck would work. You just might have to use adaptors for the hoses. Car Craft just had a write up on swapping boxes on cars, some things might work for the truck.
