can a stock 93 a4 z28 beat a stock 6spd 03 gt

Hi my name is dewaun i have a 93 z thats stock with a cutout and my uncle has a 03 gt 6spd also stock and he keeps talking smack my lt1 runs very strong with only 84k miles on the motor but like i said it's stock so i would like some imput on this race.

Are you sure your uncles 03GT is a 6 speed?
Doesnt sound like a stock car

Mustang GTs have 5 speeds for manual trannsmissions. Does your car have 3.23 rear gears or 2.73s? If you have 3.23s it will be a close run, and you could beat him. If you can drive at all you should easily take him off the line. If you have 2.73 rear gears he could edge you out if he can drive.

sorry it is a 5 spd but he ha s a magnaflow exhaust.

Cat back = sound....NOT POWER. Unless he does headers that cat back wont do sh!t....sorry.

Your car SHOULD beat him regardless of which gears you have. Those GT's are "ok" at best for teh first couple gears but after that they peter out pretty quickly. Those cars have NO power once you hit 4th (at least in stock form).

100% right on. A friend of mine bought a new Mustang a couple of years ago and was really goading me into a race, so I did it. I walked away quick. His car was stock except for a cold air kit. My 97 at the time had headers and a cat back with stock 2.73's. His car is a 5 speed, mine an A4. Now that my car is modded he won't even talk to me about a race.

the race is over the guy i bought this car from had to do something,................................somethin g i cant pinpoint i beat the gt buy at least 3 1/2 cars all the way up to 120ish i shut down because from nowhere a c6 zo6 shot pass us both and it rocked my car i got scared, but this car cant be stock i'll find out soon there are no visual mods.

Your car probably is stock. When I raced my buddies 06GT I walked away from him lie he threw it in reverse. I personally have driven two of the newer Mustangs, one was an auto and one was a 5 speed. the 5 speed had 3.55 in it and felt much stronger than the auto but it just didn't have the same feeling as my T/A. I deffinately was not faster, kind of a let down really, being a 300hp car.
