Broken clutch fork
Is there a better clutch fork out there for a T56 in my sons 96"T/A ? The factory broke at the pivot pin area, it appears to be cast.I understand that I need to pull the tranny to to fix replace it. Also am I going to be able to get the trans out if the other end is still on the bearing? First time to do this, but lack of funds have turned this into a father-son project.I will also be putting in a rear main seal and a SPEC 2 clutch kit while we are in there. The only mods for now are pacesetter coated long tubes,373 rear, cold air intake and a Hurst short throw shifter.

I would put this post in the Manual trans section. http://www.ls1.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=65

I've never heard of someone breaking the arm, even with a heavy duty aftermarket clutch. Maybe you just had a weak one, or your kid is beating the shit out of it at a whole other level.

Found out why the clutch fork broke. The throw out bearing retainer came off.
