    Alternator Bracket Help!

Hey guys I finally got my stroker motor built and installed in my 1995 Trans am. When I bought the car the motor was in a million pieces so I never took it out. Im having problems getting the alternator to line up It keeps hitting my valve cover. Also I have 6 bushings left over not sure if the bushings are used behind the brackets to space it out from the valve cover or what! If any one has any pictures of there brackets it would help me alot!

are they LT1 valve covers or generic centerbolt? The LT1 has an indentation where the alternator is. I can look at my car if you need, but I am not sure if I will be able to see what you need. I know when I changed my valve cover gasket There were no spacers between the alternator and the bracket. I am not sure if there was anything between the bracket and the block though.

If someone had a picture of te back of the alternater mounted that would tell me mostly what I need!

The valve covers was Napa Shorties with the center bolts.

Ill try and get pictures up later so someone might can see whats happening.

I finally got the bracket to mount. The problem was the valve covers didnt have the notch in it. I didnt realize the old ones had it. But nothing a good ole hammer and a piece of wood couldn't fix!! and about 15 mins!! Thanks for the suggestions guys.
