oh, and a 92 vette had the LT1.... they always got the motor before the Fbody did.

As far as i know its not chipped or cammed. I'm waiting on another thread to see what you guys think in that department. 6qt Wet Sump oil intercooler system. Has 1.5" front and rear sway bars. Upgrades: Cold Air Intake, Silencer Delete , 3" high flow exhaust, MSD 48,000v Blaster Coil, Water to throttle body bypass, Crankcase ventilation w/dual chamber 3 stage filter ran to throttle body for increased volumetric efficiency, 180 degree Thermostat, 160 degree fan turn-on override(think pcm lost it), UMI Short shifter handle, 9.5" wide tires, Dimple-Drilled, Slotted, Cryogenic treated, Zinc plated rotors, Summit Racing High performance ceramic pads. So not much but still a beast. Also its pretty much and M29 with 3.42s, 3rd is 1.34 instead f 1.44 or 1.43 w/e it is. Custom ordered tranny.

what does your car run on the 1/4?

none of that stuff listed as mods to your car would make an LT1 beat a 20005 mustang GT, 92 vette, 05 WRX STI, 08 wrx STI and certainly not an 02 SS..... i have a full exhaust, tune and some suspension mods. i would be shocked if i could run better than a 13.8 which would put me behind every car i listed above. you must have a lot of bad drivers where you live :P

OMG drivers around here are the worst. we have alot of high end cars around here: bently, aston martin, newer jags etc...its like rich fu**ville, but there are alot of reg. people too... either way the 82 connector is long and straight, but uphill a little too. right at the bottom people love to race. the higher torque cars usually win here because of the incline i think. but w/e works for me.

only 1/4 ever was 13.4 at 104 .5 something reaction at the strip in ny. my fathers engine builder said he guestimated 330-360 hp range but no deffinates yet.

sounds good to me...but with all these new high hp cars coming out of this HP war pretty soon I wont stand a chance like the new 5.0 mustang or next years camaros. I may need an ls1 bored over with trick flow heads and tuned to compete next year :P

You dont need an LS1 to have a formidable motor. The LTx motors can be built to incredible power levels with some of the heads that are out there, wether normally aspirated or boosted.

the engine builder says 650 easy as a 383 with a his custom ground cam and custom head work. he also said this cam will build power to 6800rpm. he also says he will guarantee it for 20k miles or 2 yrs. oh yea and 3500 to 5800 buck range. steep but better than 35k my dad just paid for his custom 427 small block.
