Just bot a 94 T/A for $950 at a surplus auction, its got a stumble and sputter, and gets worse as it runs. Starts up fine, and idles fine, even after being ran. The fuel pump is whining loud enough to hear while running, but won't a bad fuel pump just go dead? I changed the fuel filter, havnt checked the fuel pressure.

check the fuel pressure first and another thing to look at is the optispark....they're notorious for failing.
I'm moving this to the LT-1 section where you might get better answers.

change ur fuel pump, filter and fuel regulator is very important that if u change ur pump u also need 2 replace ur regulator...

The SES doesnt come on at all, if it was the optispark, wouldnt it through a misfire code with the SES

Opti problems don't always throw a code. Mine started to go out and didn't throw any sort of code.

Check the fuel pressure first, also check it on a drive too if possible.
