305 tbi swap to LT1.

everyone here seems to know what theyre talkin about so i figured id ask all of u

as everyone knows, i have a 92 camaro rs with a 305 tbi. i was planning on modding this thing, but realized for the price of just a few minor mods, i could probably buy a used lt1 engine. questions:

What exactly do i need to do an lt1 swap? obviously the lt1 motor... someone told me my tranny would be compatable. would it? if not, then ill look into a used 6 speed. i eventually want to swap transmission for a 6speed, but i dont think ill have enough cash for an engine and transmission any time real soon. how much of my car is going to work with the lt1?
