2000 Camaro with a LT1

I have a 2000 Camaro that originally came with a V-6 motor. After driving it for a couple years I decided to do a LS1 swap and gutted everything. I've been looking for an LS1 for the right price and can't find one. My buddy has a '96 LT1 out of a corvette that he would sell to me really cheap. If I got a wire harness and computer from a 96-97 camaro does anyone think this could work? Things I thought that could be an issue- abs, security, fuel lines, fuel pump, motor mounts. Or dropping a $3000 LS1 worth buying and saving a lot of headacke? Thanks in advanced for any comments!

It would be a little easier to find a wrecked ls1 and then you could get all the parts necessary. It will probably be the little things that nickel and dime you. You could also sell off what parts you don't need to get back a little money.

i could sell you all the top end parts off of my ls1. im doing a complete engine swap and could use some cash for the supporting mods.

if someone can put a LT1 in a Fiero.. then why not put it in a 2000 camaro.

What all do you have? I need bolts, screws, everything! You talking heads, intake, throttle body?
