    1993 Z28 Driveshaft

So a few years back I needed new u joints for my car (1993 Z28) and I decided to upgrade to an alluminum driveshaft in the process. I was told a 3rd gen F-body driveshaft would fit, so I bought one off craigslist. Problem is its about 1.5cm too short. Did the guy lie to me about the car it came out off, or do I need to be more specific in the year? It's been awhile, but I believe it came out of an 89 bird.

Any aluminum shaft from an LS1 car is a direct bolt-in. A shaft that is 1.5cm too short is probably still engaging a good portion of the splines, but I don't remember where the splines in the shafts themselves start inside the yolk. Is the shaft too short from u joint center to u joint center, or is the yoke shorter. Overall difference is 1.5cm though I assume

I didn't take measurements, but it has some room to slide back and fourth when I fit it in the trans end. Could it have anything to do with the fact I have a TH350?

Well the shaft is supposed to be able to move on the splines some. And I don't know if a TH350 varies from a 4L60 in overall length. There could be some variation depending on the tailshaft on the trans. You need to set the current driveshaft next to a LS1 or LT1 factory shaft to determine length differences.

It's short somewhere, it shakes like bad u joints but at a wide array of speeds
