WS6 vs GTO
Which do you think is a better car: a WS6 T/A or an LS2 GTO?

Black 2002 T/A M6- Green 1997 Ram 4x4
WS6 = Better looking
GTO = Newer, better engine, and better ride quality.
I'd rather have a WS6 at a car show, but I'd rather have a GTO on a road trip.

gto's look like a grand prix. imo dont look tough at all. and ive romped on them at the track all day. id go as far as saying that i hate gto's. if im worried about how smooth and roomy my sports car is then im getting a sedan. and speaking of sedans, id rather have a G8 over a gto hands down.
i vote ws6

I think I'd appreciate the GTO's IRS on the autocross but the IRS wheelhop is going to hold you back on the strip. The WS6 is lighter though.

I agree on the strip, stock vs stock the 80 horsepower difference is well enough to make up for the disadvantage in weight.
The way I see it though, once you start modifying there is probably more potential in the ws6 than the GTO with the lighter smaller platform.

my uncle has one and i have driven it more than once, he also owns a firehawk, ne way goats drive very well, and eventhough they are heavy , that ls2 even in stock trim has plenty of kick to it

Well in theory you could but it would be much easier to simply put a bigger motor in a ws6 then to gut a goat and throw in a live axel, there'd be alot of work involved trying to get the geometry right on the car with the new rear suspension. Of course if you're thing is autocross you might even want to keep the IRS, its a matter of preference, but I do still think that for the strip the fbody has more potential.

Phantom Black Metallic- 2004 GTO M6
I gues I lucked out on mine. Cammed and other goodies. Plus a Harrop diff cover to tie the rear end together like a solid rear. Too much fun to pass up.
