    Ws6 u-joints

    Any of you change the ujoints? Looks there are pins that hold the cups in. Advice?

    they are nylon locked. use a press or benzene torch.

    I wonder what the life expectancy of those u joints are, Gracie is crossing the 180k mark this coming week, still on its originals.

    Pull the drive shaft and inspect them. With nylon lock it either works or it doesn't, they just crack.


    A bend vice will work too but the Benzene torch is absolutely the fastest way, Propane will not work. doesn't get hot enough. Make sure you have a face shield cause it can pop like a zit.
