More tire surface is better for traction. I run 275/40R17's on my 17x9 wheels for the rear and 255/40/17R's on the front.

What are you A4 or M6?

M6 idles around 800-900 rpm while an A4 usually around 1100-1200 rpms.

Are you sure? that seems very low for idle. I know my tach is off by 500rpm. Confirmed by 2 separate dyno sessions and even my shift light shows it off by that much.

I'm trying to find a way to get it fix but striking out so far.

It might be worth hooking up with someone that has HP Tuners or Holly EFILive to see what the engine is really seeing.
