    Is WS6 exhaust worth replacing?

I know the exhaust on a 2002 WS6 is not the same as the standard Trans Am, but is it that much better? I have heard some people say it is better and I have always thought it just had nicer tips. Any body know. I don't want to waste $800 on a corsa cat back if it won't help any.

If it's any better it isn't by much. It woudn't hurt to get a nice aftermarket exhaust.

I have a 2002 ws6. The ws6 exhaust aint no better the the regular trans am exhaust. If your going to get a exhaust get a aftermarket exhaust. Don't get corsa. Get the gmmg, or the magnaflow or even the loudmouth. The loudmouth exhaust is only like 400 to your door. magnaflow is 450 and the gmmg a little more.

yeah but they look like crap on a TA compared to a Corsa.

GMHTP gained a peak of 1.3 rwhp and 1.3 rwtq, on a stock 01 6spd WS6, by changing to a B&B Tri-Flo system. A Corsa probably won't add any more. It does look and sound a little better, but is that worth the $800 to you? I'd spend the money on other mods first, then either put a cutout on, or go with the Loudmouth.

I like the way my borla looks with the twin intercooled tips. But you'll be spending a good $900 for the stainless steel adjustable. Magnaflows look weird on WS6's, Corsa's look good and are cheaper than Borla's but there is a weird kind of resonation to them. If you want the best HP gains, the Dynomax Catback has shown a really nice gain over stock.

My buddy runs hooker long tubes and he has no issues with fitment at all. I run pacesetters but they're a bitch so I'm getting hookers. Dynomax turbo mufflers run about $400

i have a hooker cat back with borla tips, sounds really nice, SLP loudmouth was obnoxiously loud and didnt sound all that nice unless you were WOT, i couoldnt take it anymore on long highway trips, had a weird drone that made my brain vibrate at certain RPM's lol. if noise and weight reduction are your thing, go with the SLP, i dont think you can really go wrong with any of the after market set ups.

not positive but the SLP loudmouth saves around 10lbs because there's no muffler, only a resonator then straight out the back, hence, why its so loud.

What they hell are you talking about? The reason to go with Corsa is for the lack of resonance and drone (No Resonance/Drone... due to our patented Reflective Sound Cancellation™ (RSC™) technology; your exhaust is whisper quiet at highway speeds). Yes its true, between 1600 - 2200 rpms all of the interior resonance is gone but during normal accelerating and while at WOT it sounds everybit like a muscle car. I love the sound of mine and you can't beat the tips.
BTW I got mine from Jegs for $600

Corsa's looks and sound are in a category all their own. I have yet to hear or see anything that looks as good or sounds as unique as a Corsa catback. I haven't heard a dynomax catback before so I really don't know how good it is but I will say this, their bullet mufflers are really awesome for TD's.

I agree with the Scientist, there is no weird resonating sound from the new RSC pulse power system. Also It definately adds more than 1.3 HP. Corsa promises 14.8HP, and they instantly made me a believer.
After I installed it my car had ALOT more "umpphh" & power. It flows sooo much better than my stock WS6 exhaust-you can really feel the difference.
I paid 750.00$ and wouldn't trade it for the world. I did a hell of alot of research before I purchased and realized most people will tell you not to get this system based on price $$, and inexperience with the system. I have heard that the GMMG is supposed to be a "TRUE" muscle car exhaust system. Just my opinion-please take no offense.
