Wrecked My Baby Today!!!

so today I'm driving to school on the highway on this huge bridge with like a hundred foot drop off...I'm going about 55 and traffic is really congested I'm about four car lengths behind the guy in front of me when suddenly he swerves...I see this big black thing and swerve too...well, my car hits some loose gravel and the rear kicks and the drivers rear fender hits the concrete retaining wall, destroys my rims...then the car gets thrown to the other side of the bridge and the front end hits the right retaining wall destoying my fender and hood, and my other 2 remaining rims... my car drives up to the top of that retaing wall and I almost fly off of the bridge... then my car returns to the road with no tires and bent rims... I slide another 385 feet...
Meanwhile my seat belt came undone during my first impact!!!
Highway Patrol said I was a very good driver, and lucky as hell that I survived, let alone with no injuries other than a bruised hip and whip lash...

Come to find out, the big black thing in the middle of the highway, was the base to a freaking basketball goal, someone had dropped an entire basketball goal and left it lying in the highway...

I have to speak to the insurance company tomorrow...car isn't totalled...but it 's gonna be alot of work...thank god I have a good insurance policy...

dude.. that sucks.. almost as sad as me getting mine back in 00'.. second day i had it, i get hit in a parking lot while shopping for groceries.. strange how these things work out against nice cars :[ sorry for your loss.

No kidding.. within a week.. I had 2 people back into each of my doors on my Camaro...one in a grocery parking lot.. one in my driveway...

The "sweet" Was that he is getting it put back together.. and upgrading to T/A trim... rereading it.. that came out wrong... and about the front air box lid.. if his is damaged.. what is wrong with getting a slightly used one for a lot less than a new one?

yeah, I'm going to try to buy it back the motor, and trans is still good.. if not I'll pull off my slp cold air, and get my program off of the computer... I really wish I could just drive it right now, I can't belive my car got taken out by a cheap ass basketball goal...

Sorry to hear about your misforture. However, it sounds like you plan to make lemonade out of the situation. That's a great way to look at it. I don't think I could do that if something like this happened to me.

My guess is insurance will consider that tire a road hazzard and not find you at fault.

Post up pictures of the repair or you new ride when all is said and done .... OK?
