Wisconsin Sikh shooting--cops drive Trans AM?

i saw on the news a cop/deputy/ranger/whatever they are called had a blue t/a. i have a pic from screenshot on cnn tv but its on my iphone and can't post. any idea what mods are done to it? strange they have such an old car for cop car

It's not all that unusual well a police 4th gen isn't, I haven't seen a police trans am in person though. There is a 4th gen police camaro around where I live.

We have a small town here in Iowa that have a 4th gen SS Camero. Not sure what year.

We have a few mustangs, camaro, firebird and corvettes for cop cars. They are usually the cars confiscated in drug bust and other crimes. Sometimes they have some work done to them.

This is the most likely case. Vehicle seized from a crime or tax violation. Can't remember which one it is NC or SC, they seized a ZR1 Vette. It was on Top Gear USA a week or 2 ago.
