Medium Red Metallic- 2000 Trans Am
Wiper problems
I got a 2000 trans am and had my wiper transmissions replaced at a dealership. after it snowed my wipers stopped working because the nut got loose on the motor. i tightened it down and now my wipers bang on high speed and on intermitten they stop halfway. i was wondering if anyone knows how to adjust this. i think its the transmission that attaches to the motor but im not sure. please help thanks........... and if someone could tell me how to find this thread that would be awesome.

Why not take it back to the dealer and tell their butts to fix it right.I'm sure it wasn't cheap for you to have the work done at the dealer, they should stand behind their work.

Bat mobile black- 2000 Trans am WS6 M6
so is everything good now? If this is their second chance and you were worried about going back to them the 2nd time i would take it back and bark up a storm and explain why you are not happy. Im sure theyd do it for free then, if not then screw em and move on. Its really just pathetic what dealerships and some small shops will do to rip people off for some cash.

BCM and/or wiper pulse board malfunction..
To set the wipers properly they have to be tightened when they are slightly up over past the arm rests. Once properly tightened you then simply physically move them back over the stops so the blades are down against the glass and you're done.. The king nut does'nt tighten beyond the splined taper for the wiper arm.. Meaning you can not bind the mechanism by over tightening the arms..Last edited by Smittro; 01-11-2011 at 06:38 AM.
