    Why no revised door panels?

I don't understand how there is still a thriving aftermarket support for the F-body vehicle yet when it comes to something that literally will negatively effect car, nothing is done about it (as far a replacement)

We all have problems with the door panels cracking. I've searched all over and yes you can "fix" the crack but why hasn't a manufacturer fabricated a redesign door panel to replace our old and beaten ones that don't crack?

I think someone either here or on tech had thiers recovered in a leather or vynil wrap. It looked good and probably should have came stock that way. Might be cheaper to have a shop do this vs. buy a replacement set. At the rate these are going used it would probably cost you almost twice the normal asking price for a remanufactured set.

Yeah that's what I was thinking as well. Having a local auto interior shop repair and possibly wrap both doors. That just may be a better or more cost effect solution.

Uh, maybe because the cars to which those parts are marketed have been out of production for over 10 years, and the fact that the market constantly shrinks with everyone that is wrecked, has something to do with it?

Not a lucrative buisness model. If it was, you'd see the aftermarket stepping up. But they aren't.
