Who would win in a race?
I have an automatic 1994 Trans AM GT with the 350 ci v8 5.7 liter engine. My friend has a manual 1995 Camaro Z28 with the same engine. Who do you think would win? Both cars are completely stock.

If your friend is a good driver, I'd say he'd win. If not, then you'll win.

I think it will come down to which engine is better tuned.
I've seen some old LT1s run like turds, and others like striped-ass apes.

There isn't a winner until a race actually occurs.

The winner will be the better driver. Take care of your car and it will take care of you lol

Both cars being same he has a better rear gear setuo and six speeds assuming he can drive it he'll win but not by much if you launch well. i raced a simialer equiped bolt on Z28 and we were at a 40 roll but he pulled ehen my car hit 4rd. From a dig with my tuned a4 we run side by side from a roll but I could take him in a dig race thanks to tranny tune and sticky BFG NT;s

If the manual driver can drive and launch he will win, of course assuming both engines are still making the power they both should be. No way in hell the stock auto will keep up with a stock manual if the stick driver can drive.
