    Whining sound

Hey I love these cars but my profession is computers....that said is this sound something I should be worried about? All fluids checked out and running Synthetic oil. The sound started after a 350 mile drive (not hard) and the last part of the drive I went through a pretty heavy puddle of water (however the video was taken the morning after.

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks Fam

sounds to me like your power steering pump... check the fluid level and see how full it is... it's probably a bit low...

Prolly drowned the Alt. with water.. Imho

Or possibly water was forced under the PS cap..

Check the PS fluid for water/foam when the engine is running..

If it is the PS pump the sound will likey get louder when the filler cap is removed..

Also IF water did get into the PS pump it will soon die...

its sounds exactly like my power steering pump when it was going bad, mine would whine at idle also so yours isnt too bad. It might be low, it might be full but the fluid might be bad, if its black then its bad. Id change it, DONT WAIT either. Thats what i did and it ended up ruining my PS pump and i had to change the whole thing. If you decide to change the fluid put a towel or heavy rag over your alt so no fluid gets on it, if it does then youll be replacing that too!
