ID:	24794 I found this cap/adjuster piece laying on the garage floor under the racecar the other day. And I don't know if it came off of the car somehow, or it came from somewhere else. I have know clue what it is, what it does or where it goes. Not sure if the picture is clear enough. It says reverse on it.

Doesn't look familiar. Do you have aftermarket shocks? Maybe a dustcap for them. Def looks like a dust cap of some sort.

Well, no. I don't have aftermarket shocks. A buddy of mine has an 02 TA, and he has always been pretty knowledgeable about cars. He said he thinks it came from something that was in the garage at some time or another. I'm beggining to lean that way myself. Well, thanks for the response Keith. I really appreciate it.

Could it be off of your garage door motor?

I highly doubt that's from your car, I have never seen that piece in the years that I've wrenched on these cars but I'm sure Jeff (pajeff) or Jeremy (ls1camino) can confirm.

The only area from the factory it looks like it could fit is on the fuel rail. And that def doesn't go there.

I'm going with this. I bet it is for the garage door auto reverse adjustment. I'm sure there's one just like it that says limit or travel on it.

It says reverse on it. Well, what I know for sure is that it didn't fall off of the garage door motor that I have now. But it could have fallen off of the old garage motor that I used to have up there. But all of you guys sound pretty confident that it didn't come from the car. That's what concerns me the most. Thanks guys very much for the input.

Not a clue what that is from. Things that reverse -- drills, ratchets, impact wrenches and other air tools.

Howdy Jeff. Ha!! I wish I had air tools!!! But I've pretty much decided that it fell off of an old garage door opener motor that I took down a couple of years ago.
