Pewter Metallic- 2002 Firebird Formula
What's my door panel worth?
MODS: My apologies if this belongs in the "for sale" forum, but I didn't post this there because I'm just trying to get an idea of what to ask for this part.
I recently had my Formula repaired from an accident and ended up replacing the passenger door panel (interior). It suffered a crack from the impact. (See pics) There is no other damage to the part.
Get this -- the body shop searched their entire GM dealer database for a new one, specifically for an ebony interior, and found ONE left, at a dealership in Arkansas. List price was $980!! (Thank God for insurance!)
Of course, I know there's no way in hell I'll get that much for it, since that's a pretty ridiculous price. I'm just curious to see what I CAN get for it. I have no reason to keep it, so I'm hoping to recoup some of my deductible by selling it
This is the original factory part, and was replaced by another GM-made part (not aftermarket). What do you guys think I should ask for it?

That crack probably wasn't from the impact of an accident, just that these door panels happen to crack by themselves. See this thread. Being as yours is already cracked it's pretty much worthless. Uncracked ones sell on Ebay for about $200-$250. I'd remove the staples from your new one asap.

Wow, had no idea about the staples... thanks for the link.
A friend at work who works with fiberglass said it could probably be "welded" together from the back side by someone who's clever with fiberglass & epoxy work. Hopefully one or two of them are checking out craigslist this week :P2002 Firebird Formula

Technically you can't post in the for sale section until you have 100 posts. If this turns into a "For Sale" ad, the appropriate actions will be taken and the thread will be deleted.
As for the crack, every firebird door panel cracks in that exact same spot. If you search eBay or Craiglist, you'll usually find a lot of cracked door panels for sale and not many people wanting to buy them.
