Whats a 99 formula WS6 worth these days?
Looking at a clean 99 black formula ws6 with 70K on the clock. Its an A4 car, with head work and a ms3 cam, lunati pistons, stock crank and rods,(1000 miles on engin rebuild), 3200 conv and 4.10s. Body/paint look great, owner is askng 12K? Is this in the ballpark? I was thinking an offer like 9500? Looking for some feedback.thanks Mike

Good miles, decent mods, but honestly the mods dont really boost the price imho. 12k is unreal, there are low mileage WS6 T/A cars out there for that price. $9,500 would most likely be the very top if the car is near perfect, that is me though.
I think you are on to the right idea of the price though.

Let me tell you something my friend. My two cars prior to my A4 2000 Z28 were both 6-speed. A 94 Corvette convertible and the other was a 2004 GTO.
I only got the automatic because the car was nice and in my price range and my girl has to drive it sometimes. I dont trust her much with a 6-speed car. She is used to driving trucks (old 97 F-150) and she doesnt do well with the smooth LS1/LT1 style clutch vs that old pos.....lol
Dont settle, if you want a 6-speed car keep looking. However, the automatic IS fun and consistent at the drag strip. Which by the mods and the fact you are considering it is a reason to get that car.If you plan to race more I would go with the A4 but then again the A4 has its set-backs.

Black- 2005 CTS-V
I sold my formy last summer for 10k...99k miles, A4, bolt ons and it was a 98, I bought it in 2005 for 11k and it had 70k miles. Took me one week to sell I was amazed but I guess it all depends on what you want to spend. Pic of mine.

sold: 1999 firebird- 1998 Trans Am
I wouldn't buy a heavily modded car like that, and WS6 or not, I dont like Formulas, I dont really care how rare they are, just not my thing...
if it was a WS6 T/A, stock, and the same price, that would be too expensive...

Silver- 2000 Trans Am
I just bought a stock 2000 Trans Am with 58k miles for $8,500 so I think that price is a bit high.
